Orphans In Need are doing a LIVE TV Appeal on Islam Channel 813 on Sunday 28th August 2011. The appeal will start at 9.00pm all the way through to 6am the following day so we urge all Islam Channel viewers to tune in and watch and inshallah help support our noble cause of sponsoring and supporting orphans via our various projects including Orphan Village, Orphan Sponsorship, Eid gift and more! We have over 3,000 orphans around the world looking for someone noble to put a hand over their heads and help support them for as little as £1 per day.

Short documentary first Aired on Ramadan TV August 2010. This is an emotional commercial highlighting the plight of young and vunerable orphans in India. The video also highlights the current eco orphanage and inhouse school currently under development just outside New Delhi, India. Please view the video and pass it to all your friends and family. We need to help orphans across the world as they have a right to live a descent life and not be left to sleep on the streets. It's a complete injustice and imbalance in the world that we all need to help fix. Living in the west with all the mod cons and expensive lifestyle does not mean we let young orphans suffer. It doesn't cost the earth to support 1 child - surely people in the west can spend £30 a month to support an orphan and if they can't spare £30 then at least make some contribution.

Pakistan Floods Appeal August 2010

Orphans In Need are doing a live TV appeal for the Pakistan Floods on sky channel 843 (Ramadan TV) from the 19th August to 23rd August 2010.

We need urgent funds to provide Emergency shelter for orphans - help save an orphans life now!

With over 3.5 million children facing death in pakistan right now due to water-born diseases as well as malaria, typhoid, malnutrion and other deadly diseases. Please donate as much as you can! For £800.00 you can provide shelter for 4 orphans (quad bedroom). For £360.00 per annum you can sponsor and individual orphan.

New Orphanage 3D Plan

Orphans in Need are currently fundraising, in order to establish a network of orphanages which will be run by the charity. The aim is to setup orphanages where currently there are none, or the capacity of existing ones are inadequate for the area. The main objectives are:

• To provide care which is of a personal nature rather than that given at most orphanages.

• To create a close, secure, family-orientated environment, in which the children are cherished, loved, nurtured, taught independance and encouraged to grow into valuable assets to society.

New orphanage construction details

Orphans in Need has identified a location about 35km from New Delhi (India), which is ideally situated for the construction of an orphanage. Many localities in the area suffer from all the poverty related problems that blight many of the communities in India. Unfortunately, in vulnerable societies such as these, children are often the most worst off and hence suffer the most. Our aim is to bring in orphaned children thorughout India, and provide these orphans love, a basic humanitarian living, healthcare and education until they reach adulthood.

The orphanage will be unique in the country, and will provide an unparalleled level of care which will be without equal in this part of the world.

The orphanage will be situated such that there will be ease of access to further educational insititutions. We wish to educate all the children in our care to the highest possible standards, and allow them to reach their full potential.

Our appeal

Orphans in Need are looking for kind, humble, caring and generous sponsors and donors who strive to please their Lord through the service of his creation. It is only through the generosity of our compassionate donors that we can keep fulfill the aims and objectives of this new orphanage construction project. The total cost of the land purchase is £105,000, which will give us two acres of land (9,860 sq yards). This works out at £11 per square yard. We whole heartedly request for your kind assistance in raising these funds so that we can proceed with the construction. Please bear in mind that this will be an investment that will benefit thousands of orphaned children scattered throughout India. It is an investment in their future, and for you an investment for this life and the hereafter.

At OIN our inspiration is from the beautiful teachings of the beloved holy prophet Muhammed (Allah bless him and give him peace), who gave glad tidings to those who excel in their kindness towards the orphans:

I, and the one who looks after an orphan, will be together like this in the next world

, then he raised his forefinger and middle finger together (Hadith Bukhari)

Current conditions for orphans in India

Many of the children in India try and survive by scraping a living from rubbish collections and begging. They have no access to education or healthcare, and are constantly living under the fear of assault, abuse or even child abduction for the purposes of child trafficking. Their conditions are extremely pathetic, and they can often be found competing like wild dogs at dustbins or at the feasts of the wealthier people. Orphans in Need strongly believe that this is simply unacceptable conditions for anyone let alone an orphan and that every human who is comfortable should be morally obliged to help these orphans.

There is a dire need for an orphanage which can successfully look after these children. We want you to imagine what life is like for these children who have been left orphaned. Do they not deserve to be fed, housed and educated? Imagine the succour and comfort our children would get from knowing there are kind people who care, and that they are not alone. Imagine the heartache and pain felt by a child who feels society and humanity in general have abandoned them. Please do not abandon the orphans of India.

Homeless Orphans Shelter Project

One of the most important necessities of orphans' lives is a safe and secure roof over their heads. To this end, Orphans in Need is constantly fundraising to set up a network of orphanages, particularly in new areas, or to increase capacity at existing ones. We have supplied financial aid, equipment, staff training, educational materials, medicines, clothing and toys to orphanages around the world. But we don't want to stop there. We want to create a close, family orientated environment by providing much more personal care than is given at most orphanages. As well as teaching basic skills such as cooking, arts, crafts, raising crops and keeping livestock, we want to be innovative and resourceful by encouraging further education. We make sure that our orphanages are established at places with easy access to colleges and universities. If we can help to train them to become doctors, lawyers, teachers or civil servants, we can make sure that these once-forgotten children take their rightful places as valuable members of the community.

Orphans in Need plays a leading role in the global battle against poverty, starvation, illiteracy and exploitation. We have over a decade of experience in this sector, so we understand the problems and we have the infrastructure to react quickly in times of crisis.

That's why we observe an international programme of partnerships with like-minded bodies - organisations such as the World Food Programme, the United Nations and the Red Cross. By maintaining our emergency relief fund, we can ensure that monies are directed to them if necessary, without impacting on our own planned projects.
